Within this specialization, we conduct historical research on Chinese ideas and cultural phenomena based on philological contexts. However, Chinese philosophy goes beyond mere “history,” containing universal questions that resonate across time and space. The framework of intellectual history is the entry to these questions, and while at first glance, it seems to be an attempt to trace history, it introduces metaphysical thinking that questions the foundations of existence and meaning.

Philosophy, Ideology, Religion, Politics, Culture, Science, Mythology, Intellectual Exchange—any of these can be the starting point. The gateway for each individual may differ, but as the questions deepen, they inevitably intersect and connect at the roots. What is important is being honest about your interests. Sincerely engage with the questions at hand, maintain a firm foundation, and remain aware of the world of meaning. This will eventually grow into a grand idea, and questions that previously seemed disparate will suddenly become a meaningful landscape.

We await those who want to encounter this landscape, the one that quietly shakes the mind.
